Owner / Family Placement Manager and Caregiver Manager

Raising four children over numerous military postings, we gained a unique appreciation for quality childcare's importance to a busy family. With two children now young adults and two in high school, we have also gained considerable experience (making plenty of mistakes) trying to raise balanced, self-sufficient kids in the pressure cooker environment children face here in Northern Virginia. Our family has particular interest in girls and STEM education. Mom formerly practiced as a Board-certified Pediatrician. And our oldest child (and only girl) is a Ph.D candidate in Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California at Berkeley. We have learned much about child development; college testing and admissions; and how to (try to) balance family and career, and hope that our knowledge and experience can be of service to build your stronger family.

As a military spouse for over 20 years, I understand the need families have for dependable childcare. I did not always have a support system of friends and family to help with the kids or just give me a minute to breathe. Dependable, trustworthy childcare was essential; especially, when I started Culinary School. My kids then were 2 & 4. Now 16 & 18, they have adjusted to this lifestyle and are amazing young people (if I do say so myself ;). My oldest even joined our Jovie family and became a Role Model before starting at Penn State. My son is looking to follow in his father's footsteps and will be applying to the United States Naval Academy next year. I am currently serving Jovie as their Social Media and Marketing Manager for the Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, and South Shore Long Island areas.
